Your journey, your pace, your balance

Creating supportive spaces to pause, reflect and move forward

Life can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to face it alone. True Balance Pathways offers a safe and supportive space where you can talk, reflect, and begin to make sense of what is going on for you.

Whether you are navigating stress, anxiety, loss, relationship challenges, or simply feel stuck, counselling can provide the chance to pause and find clarity.

A safe place to be heard

Counselling is about giving yourself the time and space to talk openly without fear of judgment. Many people come to counselling feeling unsure where to start, and that is okay. The space is yours to use in whatever way feels most helpful.

Together, we can explore your thoughts and feelings, look at what may be weighing heavily on you, and gently begin to find new perspectives and ways forward.

My approach

My foundation is person-centred, which means the work is guided by you and what you bring to each session. At times, we might also draw on ideas from different counselling approaches if it feels useful, such as gently exploring patterns in relationships or finding practical ways together to manage anxious thoughts. This flexible way of working is often called integrative, but in practice it simply means we can use different tools and perspectives that fit your needs.

The most important part is that this is a collaborative process. We will work side by side, exploring your thoughts and experiences together at your pace.

Sessions are confidential and professional, and can be face to face or online depending on your preference. We will agree together how often to meet. For some people counselling is short term, while for others it becomes a longer journey.

Frequently asked questions

Here are some questions and answers that may help you decide to take that first step.

Who is your counselling for?

I offer counselling to adults from all backgrounds and walks of life. Whether you’re facing a specific difficulty or simply have a sense that something doesn’t feel right, you are welcome here.

What happens in the free consultation?

The 20-minute phone or video consultation is a chance for us to connect, talk about what you’re hoping for, and decide together if I feel like the right fit for you.

What if I’m not sure where to start?

You don’t need to arrive with all the answers or even know exactly what you want to talk about. Counselling is a process, and part of that process is discovering together what feels important to explore. It’s completely okay to begin with a feeling, a thought, or simply a sense that something doesn’t feel right.

Is counselling confidential?

Yes. Everything you share is treated with confidentiality within the boundaries of professional ethics and safeguarding. I will explain this clearly in our first session.

How long is a counselling session?

Sessions last one hour and are usually weekly, though we can agree what works best for you.

How do online sessions work?

I offer sessions via secure video call. Many people find this a flexible way to access counselling from home.

How many sessions will I need?

There is no fixed number. Some people find a few sessions helpful, while others prefer longer term work. We will regularly check in together to see how things feel.

What if I decide counselling is not for me?

That is okay too. You are in control of whether you want to continue, and the consultation gives you the chance to decide without pressure.
